|Day 3||Barcelona||Barcelona: Visit the famous La Sagrada Familia Church and Towers* and explore the basilica where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city from 213 feet up. Next, embark on a guided tour of the city and experience sights including the Columbus Monument, the Parc de Montjuic, and the exteriors of two of Gaudi's classic constructions, the Casa Mila and the Batllo House. This afternoon you may decide to join an optional expedition to Montserrat for a guided tour of the monastery; or, stay behind to independently see more of the city. The evening is yours to relax or explore the city's lively neighborhoods full of culinary delights.|
|Day 5||Pamplona||Pamplona - San Sebastian: From Pamplona it's on to charming San Sebastian. It's your choice how you spend your day here! Join a locally guided tour of the old town and board a funicular to the apex of Monte Igueldo for breathtaking views of La Concha Bay; OR, take a walking tour along the farms, vineyards, and villages of the Coastal Camino; mingle with locals as you return to San Sebastian by local train. Afterward, dine on pinxtos, traditional Basque tapas, in one of San Sebastian's local restaurants.|
|Day 6||San Sebastian||San Sebastian: This morning, explore San Sebastian at your leisure. You may choose to join an optional tour to Bilbao where you can stroll the quirky riverfront landscapes along the Costa Verde and pay a visit to the Guggenheim Museum.|
|Day 7||San Sebastian||San Sebastian - Santander - Burgos: Today it's your choice how you spend your day in the port city of Santander. See the city via paddleboard or kayak;** OR, take the day to explore Santander independently, perhaps strolling the gardens of the Palacio de la Magdalena or exploring the historic district of El Sardinero. Later, we gather and continue on to historic Burgos.|
|Day 8||Burgos||Burgos: A walking tour of medieval Burgos reveals rich religious architecture and glimmering streetscapes. Visit Burgos Cathedral, the UNESCO-protected relic of Spain's religious architecture. The afternoon is at leisure.|
|Day 9||Burgos||Burgos - Salamanca - Madrid: Depart Burgos for Salamanca, perched on the tiered hills of the Tormes River. Choose a walking tour or bicycle tour through the city, and discover the Baroque architecture of the UNESCO-designated Old City and uncover the two cathedrals of Salamanca. Next it's on to Madrid, the Spanish capital and the epicenter of art, culture and politics, as well as home to the Spanish Monarch. Seek out the treasures of the city and shop as a Spaniard would during a visit to one of Madrid's bustling marketplaces.|
|Day 10||Madrid||Madrid: It's your choice how you spend your last day in Madrid. Unearth Madrid's centuries-old city center and learn about the Habsburg dynasty's reign over Spain during a walking tour of the city; OR, take a panoramic sightseeing tour ending with a visit to the Prado, Spain's national art museum. This afternoon, perhaps you'll join an optional walking tour to the city of Segovia and the storybook castle Alcazar of Segovia, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This evening, savor Spain's cuisine one last time over a farewell dinner with your fellow travelers to commemorate a Spanish adventure you'll never forget.|
